Hi Ray,

thanks for the link, for me this one-liner seems to
indicate that it could work!!
Now this really sounds funny/interesting/promising for me,
although I still have no idea on possible performance
compared to Rendition's opengl driver:

By going the way through
QuakeII -> 3dfx minig gl -> BigRRed -> RRedline
we could really (ab)use the 3DNow optimizations!!

Regarding BigRRed, I am currently working on QuakeII,
(i.e. the DDDFX minigl driver) - there are still
some problems, but basically it runs... (though
performance is not really stunning right now...)

Would really make up an interesting test....
Now this is a reason for me to intensify my
studies on wrapping QuakeII.....:)
let's go back to work then....
